Soror Crenshaw
Greetings and welcome to Rho Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated located in the Marvelous Mid-Atlantic Region. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as President and greet you on behalf of our Chapter.

For over 107 years, the oldest Greek-letter organization for African-American women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, has been in the forefront of providing “Service to all Mankind.” Since the chartering of Rho Eta Omega Chapter on May 21, 1988, we have worked hard to serve countless individuals and families throughout the Richmond City community through our programs and services. Our diverse membership consists of a dynamic group of collected educated women who characterize education, medical, business, political and other fields, all committed to the mission of our sisterhood. Rho Eta Omega is also honored to provide graduate advisors and mentors to the undergraduate members of Tau Delta Chapter at Randolph Macon College.

Rho Eta Omega will continue to fulfill its purpose to meet the needs of local and global communities by implementing the sorority’s 2014-2018 International Program “Launching New Dimensions of Service ” led by our 29th International President Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson. Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Rho Eta Omega Chapter will address community needs in five target areas:
Target I: Educational Enrichment
Target II: Health Promotion
Target III: Family Strengthening
Target IV: Environmental Ownership
Target V: Global Impact
The signature program, ASCENDsm , will motivate, engage and assist high school students in reaching their maximum potential.

In addition to the International Program Initiatives, Rho Eta Omega will continue to implement our Belles and Beaus signature program designed to help cultivate young ladies and men in grades 6-8, as well as award deserving high school students with annual scholarships and opportunities to visit historically black colleges and universities via Ride for Knowledge program.

We cordially invite you to support our activities as we work together to make a positive difference in our community.
